In a world where so many things compete for our time and attention, it is a constant struggle for all of us to manage the competing demands of our work and personal lives. In reality, it leaves little time or energy to make space to focus on family and friends and enjoy the fruits of our labor, unless we are very intentional about making work life balance a priority.

We, the staff at B&A Petroleum Ltd., recognize how challenging, yet vitally important, it is to manage time and priorities so we can focus on the people and things we love, so we have made it one of our priorities. We want to do what we can to help you achieve that sweet spot where work life balance is in harmony with meeting your work and personal commitments while still maintaining a balance within our own ranks.
No doubt, you are probably a little skeptical about what, if anything, we could do that would make a difference to the quality of your daily life, and to be honest, we wondered the same thing. However, with a little brainstorming, some helpful feedback and careful consideration of our best practices, we came up with a strategic plan that we believe can make a difference.
First of all, we focused on communication and customer service. We aspire to provide fast, friendly, reliable service with direct lines of communication which include face to face, email, text and phone. By offering personalized service, we can develop solid relationships with our customers creating confidence that they can count on us for service and information when they need to get the job done. This approach can also save them time and effort by dealing directly with the people in our organization most able to provide what they need thereby eliminating time spent playing phone tag or being placed on hold.

On the service end of things, we offer a number of time savers to facilitate quick and effortless transactions. Customers can request automatic deliveries for fuel and set up online payments for ease of access. Another great time saver is to phone ahead and have their orders waiting for them so pick up is just a quick stop and they are on their way. Additionally, for those seasonal periods that are very hectic, we offer the option to pre-order products like oil, livestock feed, minerals and salt blocks, grain bags, twine and net wrap, as well as, the option to pre-book Flaman rentals to take some of the stress away and have products at the ready.
We also recognized that we were underutilizing other means of communication that were important to our customers. With such a focus on social media, we decided to revamp our website and our Facebook pages to be more user friendly and informative. Additionally, in an effort to raise awareness of what we offer, we targeted advertising on our local radio stations and SwiftCurrentOnline to increase awareness of our business and product offerings. All of which is intended to help the customer conduct their business with us more efficiently by putting access to information directly into their hands.

Next, we gave consideration to how we can be more of a one stop shop for customer convenience. While our cardlocks and supplying bulk fuel and lubricants is the primary focus of our business, it is not our only focus. Knowing how valuable our customer’s time is and how diversified their needs are, we try to be responsive by offering a multitude of other products and services to meet those requirements and make the acquisition of them as seamless as possible.

We are continually expanding our products and services in response to customer queries. In addition to fuel and oil products, our offerings include everything from grease, chemicals and additives to fuel equipment, storage solutions and fuel security devices. We provide animal nutrition, pet food, Flaman rentals, propane cylinders, recertifications and refills and a whole host of other things. We believe the more we can provide for our customers, the fewer stops they will require which should free up more time for other priorities.

Lastly, as a presence throughout the Southwest corner of Saskatchewan, your communities are our communities. What is important to you is important to us so we continue to invest in and support our communities in an effort to help them prosper and ensure their viability for future generations.
Throughout the years, we have supported local initiatives, sports and community projects including 4H, Rodeo, High School and Minor Sports, Stock Car Races, Car Shows, Recreation Boards, Curling and Golf Tournaments, Literacy Projects, Refugee Resettlement Projects, Food Banks, Dry Grads, the Drug Strategy Action Committee, Youth and Rehabilitation Centers, 50/50 for Change, senior’s transportation, ambulance, Go Fund Me and other fundraising initiatives to name just a few.
It is our hope that our continued commitment to our communities will help, in some small way, to create the conditions that support finding time in our lives for family, friends, community and balance.
